Lutein, and its companion carotenoid zeaxanthin, are essential for maintaining healthy eyes. Nature’s Life uses lutein and zeaxanthin sourced from marigolds, the brightly colored flowers. Lutein is concentrated in the eye’s macula. These two antioxidants help to protect the eyes from free-radical damage and harmful ultra-violet light. They may be helpful for people with glaucoma, macular degeneration, cataracts, night blindness and injuries to the retina.
