Jarrow’s Bone-Up helps build strong bones with StimuCal™ ossein MicroCrystalline HydroxyApatite (MCHA) from free-range New Zealand calves. What makes MCHA different from other forms of calcium is that it is the form that makes up our bones and teeth. StimuCal™ supplies a natural source of calcium hydroxyapatite and other minerals, as well as type-I collagen (the main protein found in bones), osteocalcin and other proteins that stimulate bone growth and slow the release of calcium into the blood. This last point is important because our bodies work hard to maintain balanced levels of blood calcium since long-term elevated calcium levels can contribute to health problems.

In addition to MCHA calcium, Bone-Up contains Vitamin D3 and Vitamin K2 as MK-7, a very bioavailable form, to support the deposition of calcium into the bones while helping to maintain a healthy cardiovascular system. Alkalizing potassium citrate, and the bone-supporting minerals magnesium, zinc, copper, manganese and boron are also included in this well-rounded formula as well as Vitamin C which enhances collagen production.

Published clinical trials with Bone-Up with StimuCal™concluded that young adult women who also exercise and increase micronutrient intake can improve bone health, which may decrease the risk of osteoporosis later in life.
